Black Mantis — Compact Underwater ROV

A lightweight inspection-class underwater ROV designed for surveillance, structure inspection and shallow-water survey missions. Built for rapid deployment, Black Mantis delivers stable maneuverability and clear visual feedback even in low-visibility conditions.

Overview

Black Mantis is a compact Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) engineered for underwater surveillance and inspection tasks. With a maximum depth capability of 100 m and a maneuverable six-thruster system, it offers reliable performance in a variety of industrial, environmental and research applications.

Designed for rapid deployment in reservoirs, harbors, pipelines and tanks, Black Mantis reduces the need for human divers in hazardous or confined underwater environments. Its neutrally buoyant CAT6 tether ensures stable communication with the Ground Control Station (GCS), while the onboard camera and 6000-lumen lighting provide high-quality visibility in dark or murky waters.

The system supports modular payloads up to 0.8 kg, enabling custom tools, sensors and attachments depending on mission requirements.
